The article presents a commentary on this special edition of “Academy of Management Journal” by two of the authors of one of the articles. The authors focus on diversity (in its most broad sense) within organizations as it plays out in the entire issue. The authors raise the issue of organizational diversity and the conscious effort of multicultural social arrangement within the organization, claiming that it supports stability. They further consider the interplay of organizational diversity and stability as it relates to the other discussions in this special issue.
