Multidimensional Scaling and the Organizational Sciences

Multidimensional Scaling (MDS) is proposed as a viable research methodology for use by organizational scientists. A brief description of the method is presented, and past uses of the methodology are discussed. Possible uses for MDS are described in the areas of construct development and schema recovery. The process is viewed as an alternative and complimentary methodology to traditional organization research approaches.
