Managerial Beliefs About Work in Two Arab States
This study examines current beliefs about work among Saudi and Iraqi managers. Two hundred and three Iraqi and 132 Saudi managers completed questionnaires used to measure their belief systems. Iraqi managers show greater commitment to egalitarian and humanistic beliefs, and are less individualistic than Saudi managers. Furthermore, country affiliation, rather than demographic and organizational variables, is found to be important in determining beliefs about work.
