The supply of agricultural output in Nigeria, 1950–1974
研究了尼日利亚1950-1974年农业产出增长,发现1960年后增速放缓,人均粮食供应下降,而1950年代增长迅速,问题早于石油繁荣期。
In Nigeria in the 1970s, due to rising oil revenues, official attention has switched from balance of payments concerns to agricultural policy. We argue that the problems of growth in agriculture pre‐date the oil period and that there is a contrast between the rate of growth of agricultural output in the 1950s and the period after 1960. We argue that food import volume growth has decelerated since 1960 and per capita food supply has fallen between I960 and 1974 in contrast to the 1950s when it grew rapidly.
