Learning from Forgetting
研究了创新企业下放决策权后,组织遗忘如何阻碍学习,基于两家大型汽车制造公司在西班牙和瑞典子公司的实证证据,分析了组织结构和国家文化的作用。
Innovative firms decentralize decision-making power to foster organizational learning at the lower levels of the chain of command. However, abilities to capitalize on organizational learning may be impeded by a concomitant process of organizational forgetting. Empirical evidence concerning this process was gathered at the subsidiaries in Spain and Sweden of two large automobile manufacturing corporations. This evidence shows the antecedents of organizational forgetting and how the process of forgetfulness occurs after a long period of learning and success. It is argued that organizational structure and national culture play a significant role in the relative success or failure of innovative projects aiming at implementing organizational learning at the operational level.
