Rapid Growth in NICs in Asia: Tests of New Growth Theory for Korea
基于新增长理论,实证检验了开放的外部性、规模报酬递增和人力资本溢出效应对韩国近年快速增长的影响,发现证据支持该理论的三个核心观点。
This paper has attempted to empirically estimate the impact of some of the key factors behind the phenomenal growth of Korea in recent years in the light of new growth theory, which has developed over the last six years. Three major tenets of the new growth theory are empirically tested against the Korean experience: (1) externality effects of openness on growth, (2) significant increasing returns to scale, and (3) the spillover effects of human capital on intersectoral productivity. The empirical evidence, in spite of its limitations, fails to reject any of the three major tenets of the new growth theory. Copyright 1991 by WWZ and Helbing & Lichtenhahn Verlag AG
