Greek agriculture and the CAP
研究了希腊加入欧共体头三年共同农业政策对农业的影响,发现收入转移由负转正,但农产品贸易逆差扩大,价格变化不大,整体影响不显著。
In this paper, we examine the impact of the CAP on Greek agriculture during the first three years after the country's accession to the Community. It is shown that the net balance of the income transfers between Greece and the other EC countries which was negative in 1981 became positive and even quite large in 1982 and 1983. Accession, however, has negatively affected Greece's trade in agricultural products, so that the positive trade balance has become negative for all three years after entry. Finally, accession has increased agricultural product and input prices, so that the net price changes, most probably, have not been very large. As a result, the overall impact of accession on agricultural production and agricultural incomes has perhaps not been substantial.
