Sociopolitical Instability and the Behavior of Savings in Less-Developed Countries
提出社会政治不稳定是解释储蓄行为的一个因素,并基于60个国家7个观测值的样本,发现两者呈反向关系,使用新方法处理自相关和异方差问题。
The paper argues for the introduction of sociopolitical instability as a factor in explaining saving behavior. It also provides empirical evidence in regard to the quantitative and qualitative relationship between these two variables. The empirical results point towards an inverse relationship between sociopolitical instability and savings. Our estimates are based on a sample of 7 observations from 60 countries. A new pooling procedure is used to address the problems of autocorrelation and heteroskedasticity.
