Can Systems Really Be Taught? (A Socratic Dialogue)
以苏格拉底对话形式,探讨系统能否被教授,通过师生讨论揭示系统的本质,部分内容改编自柏拉图《美诺篇》。
The form of this paper comes from a presentation by Ian Mitroff at the 1976 Annual North American Meetings of the Society for General Systems Research. He used a Socratic dialogue to present several points of view regarding a different subject altogether [Mitroff, 1977]. What we have attempted is a Socratic dialogue between a student and a teacher concerning whether or not systems can be taught. We hope that, during the discussion, the answer emerges as well as an understanding of the nature of systems. Parts of the first portion of the dialogue are taken from Plato's Meno, with appropriate words altered to fit the purpose at hand.
