The study indicated that employees' perceptions were mainly shaped by their centrality in the firm's informal network for the exchange of professional advice. The employees that were most central in the advice network tended to view the climate of risk-taking, access to information, and acceptance most positively. Factors such as gender, tenure, prestige, and education did not influence employee's perceptions.
