The Effects of Sex and Gender on Recruitment
区分了生理性别与社会性别,回顾了它们对招聘的影响,发现生理性别影响很小,而社会性别对招聘者反应的影响不一致,建议在非校园实地环境中进一步研究。
The distinction between sex and gender suggests a need for reexamining research effects of sex-related variables on recruitment. Existing studies were classified according to the type of effect (sex vs. gender), subject population, and recruitment situation Sex seldom had any effects, whereas the effects of gender on recruiters' responses to applicants were inconsistent. Further research is needed to determine the conditions under which different explanations of the effects of gender apply and to examine them in noncampus field settings.
