Role of Valid Test Score Information and Other Factors in Selection Decision-Making
通过实验让168名寿险机构经理评估假想求职者,发现测试分数水平和求职者性别单独及交互作用能解释评估结果37%的差异,对选拔决策研究有启示。
Life insurance agency managers (n = 168) evaluated a hypothetical applicant under the experimentally varying conditions of hiring pressure, cost of false positive selection error, valid test-score level, and applicant sex. The last two treatments, alone and in interaction, were primarily responsible for explaining up to 37% of the variance in the applicant evaluations. Explanations for the results and implications for research on selection decision-making were indicated.
