Ceteris paribus: An evolution within agricultural econometrics
探讨了“其他条件不变”这一假设在农业实证需求分析历史发展中的作用,从早期统计学家认为不可获得,到计量经济学家通过实验范式确保,再到后来被视作理所当然,最后指出在演化经济系统中可能无法实现。
This article considers the role that ceteris paribus has played in the historical development of empirical demand analysis in agriculture. Ceteris paribus was viewed as unobtainable by the early economic statisticians. Econometricians invoked the experimental paradigm to assure ceteris paribus. Whether researchers achieve ceteris paribus in observational data remained, for the first econometricians, an unanswered question. However, the next generation of econometricians appear to have taken ceteris paribus for granted. The possibility of an evolutionary economic system suggests that ceteris paribus may not be obtainable outside the laboratory. Copyright 1996 by Oxford University Press.
