The effects of Spain's entry into the European Community on the Spanish hog market
利用季度计量模型分析西班牙加入欧共体对其生猪市场的福利影响,发现直接收益超过直接损失,但生产者损失较大且政府补偿有限。
This article analyses the welfare effects of accession to the EC on the Spanish hog market. Using a quarterly econometric model, the welfare consequences of accession are derived for the period 1986 to 1990. Within the context of the Spanish hog market, welfare measures indicate that direct gains from the entry into the EC exceed the direct losses. However, losses to hog pducers were relatively large and government compensation has been limited. Programmes designed to increase domestic productivity and stimulate Spanish exports would likely reduce the effects of accession on the Spanish hog producer.
