Tourism and social change in Dalmatia
以南斯拉夫达尔马提亚地区为例,探讨旅游在社会经济变迁中的作用,发现区域繁荣与经济发展水平(尤其是城市化)的关系比与旅游业的特定影响更密切。
Some general problems relating to the role of tourism in social and economic change are raised through an examination of the case of Yugoslavia. A brief overview of the economic history of the eastern Adriatic littoral is provided, and the expansion of tourism in the post‐war years is decribed. Examining the changes associated with the growth of tourism, particular attention is given to the reorientation of the system of communications and to changes in the distribution of population; the prosperity of the region is found to be more closely associated with its general level of economic development (especially with urbanisation) than with the specific impact of the tourist industry.
