Does Working with an Executive Coach Enhance the Value of Multisource Performance Feedback?

The article reports on a study pertaining to the effectiveness of executive coaching. Researchers sought to determine whether or not executive coaching improved the effects of multisource feedback over time, particularly as it related to performance. They found that whether executives worked with coaches or not had no impact on how likely they were to share feedback with subordinates or peers. Performance ratings improved for executives who received coaching. The effect due to coaching was modest and limited to ratings received from supervisors and subordinates.
