Bargaining and Market Behavior: Essays in Experimental Economics
本书是弗农·史密斯实验经济学研究的第二部论文集,收录了1990年代发表的18篇论文,涵盖经济学与心理学、讨价还价、市场制度及实验室股票市场泡沫等主题,每部分附有新的导言。
It is now almost 40 years since the publication of Vernon Smith's pioneering research on experimental markets, and he still continues to make significant contributions to the field of experimental economics. This, the second CUP collection of his published research, draws mainly on articles originally published in the 1990s in Economics, Business, and Finance journals, as well as in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Science, and Science. Fifteen of the eighteen chapters are co‐authored with various combinations of a 21‐person roster: as noted in the preface ‘experimentation has become an effort requiring many bases to be covered, and the research is most efficaciously conducted by teams of coequal scholars who each bring special skills and expertise to the bench'. Each of the four parts of the book (Economics and Psychology; Bargaining Theory, Behavior, and Evolutionary Psychology; Institutions and Markets; Stock Markets and Bubbles in the Laboratory) is accompanied by a newly written introduction that summarises and integrates the contents of the relevant chapters.
