Analysis of the intrasectoral income differences in West German agriculture

The book-keeping records of 1093 farms over a period of 12 years are analysed with respect to the development of the intrasectoral differences in the net profit per family labour unit. The factor analysis approach has been used to relate shares of the intrasectoral profit variance to complex factors which reflect differences in economic behaviour and differences as to the production conditions.
