Abstract

The article explores the effect of employees' attitudes on the competitiveness of companies in Vietnam. In transition economies, the effect of a shift from a planned to market economy on personnel management practices can cripple an organization. Research on employee attitudes in Vietnam is examined as an indicator of effective labor force management policies. Such issues as employees' organizational commitment, job satisfaction, and work values are considered. Some qualifications for regional differences are also stated.
