This excellent translation of Gunther Teubner’s 2004 monograph on networks will be of interest to scholars in the fields of labour law, corporate law and commercial law, as well as those keen to gain a better understanding of how Teubner’s sociological jurisprudence method can be applied to a specific social problem. Teubner’s work on autopoietic systems theory is gaining ever greater influence in legal scholarship, not least because it offers a novel methodological approach to interdisciplinary research.
