Suggestions for the Measurement of Consensus

There is a literature on a group of appealing measures of the degree of agreement within a population or between two populations with regard to one or several qualitative attributes. Yet the application of such measures to the study of consensus remains undeveloped. Simple measures may be elaborated that lend themselves to analyses which are conceptually complex. These measures are particularly suited to some forms of content analytic data.
