REGIONAL DISPARITIES AND CAUSE OF RURAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ON COUNTY SCALE IN EASTERN COASTAL AREA OF CHINA
基于1980、1990、2000和2005年数据，分析了中国东部沿海地区县域农村经济发展的区域差异及其经济成因，发现地形平坦、人力资本、经济基础和产业结构转型是主要影响因素，而城市化对农村发展无显著帮助。
Based on data of rural development in eastern coastal area of China over 4 time periods(1980,1990,2000 and 2005) ,the regional disparities of rural economic development on county scale and its root have been analyzed economically. The results are as follows. First,there is conditional convergence of regional disparity for the eastern coastal area as a whole and internal disparity among each province,while the intra-province disparity becomes larger and larger;Second,flat terrain,unlike location condition whose effect is not obvious,is conducive to rural economic development;Third,agricultural land resources has a negative influence on rural development,while human capital expands the regional disparities further;Forth,the economic basis is one of the main reasons causing regional disparities,so is the industrial structural transformation;Fifth,urbanization does not do help to rural development,but as to policy and other social factors,there is stage difference in promoting rural economic development.
