According to the research to the successful experience of the Santana Car localization,the article points out that the very important reason of the technical innovation success of small and midium enterprises (SME) is to join the supply chain (SC) of the large enterprises and carry out technical innovation. Through the analysis of the four technical innovation modes of SME,it concludes that SMES should choose the proper technical innovation mode and follow a technical innovation road auording to their own raality.
