ON THE REGIONAL SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCEMENT

The paper analyzes some of regional scientific and technological advancement estimation models, especially the Solow-Model, and conclude on an empirical research that there are some errors in applying the western models such as the Solow-Model to estimate the Chinese regional scientific and technological advancement. And corrective actions that should be taken to avoid future errors are suggested in the paper.
