NEW INDUSTRIAL ZONE:RESULT OF GLOBALIZATION,RESTRUCTURE AND SHIFT OF INDUSTRIES IN SHENZHEN
提出在深圳龙岗区东部工业组团建设一个占地169平方公里、以先进制造为主的新工业区，以应对全球化下产业重组和深圳作为边境城市功能弱化的挑战，推动从中小型加工贸易向大型现代工业转型。
In recent years, economic globalization has enhanced the restructuring and transformation of the world economic and industrial structure. Shenzhen, as one of the most outward-looking economies in China, will inevitably be affected by such process. On the basis of the construction of high-tech park, we propose to launch a new advanced manufacture industrial zone, which will place emphasis on manufacturing production. The site can been selected in the Shenzhen Eastern Industrial Group, which is located in the Longgang District of Shenzhen municipality, with a total area of 169 sq.km., of which 81 sq.km. be planned for development. The new industrial zone will be launched on three main consideration. Firstly, after the return of Hong Kong and Macau to Chinese sovereignty, the regional function of Shenzhen as a “border city has obviously been deteriorated. It needs to find a new economic growth point, and the Longgang industrial base and Eastern Industrial Group are regarded as the base for modern advanced manufacture industrial development in the future. Secondly, it propossed to change the present “San Lai Yi Bu (Commissioned processing and compensation trade), dominated by medium and small-sized corporation, to the development of large industrial enterprises in this region, gradually turning this area into a modern industrial entity. Lastly, in order to keep pace with the globalization and the restructuring of the world's industries with advanced technologies, Shenzhen will be able to provided the space for development in this direction. This paper attempts to discuss the development of this new advanced manufacturing industrial agglomeration.
