ECONOMIC SPATIAL PATTERN OF WESTERN REGION IN CHINA
分析了中国西部地区的经济空间分布变化与现状，提出优化区域发展经济空间格局的路径，建议重点发展六大经济区和一个国际贸易区。
Economic spatial pattern has been argued to be critical to regional development.Western Region Development is a very important development program of Macro-region approved by the State Council of PRC in 2000.Since then,the Western Region of China has achieved fast social and economic growth;but it is still lagged a lot in terms of economic development,compared to national average.Based on an analysis of the change of regional spatial distribution and the existing condition of the Western Region of China,this paper finds out the way to optimize the economic spatial pattern of regional development.This paper proposes that further implementation of Western Region Development Program should support the development of six key economic regions and a international trade area.
