This paper examines urban environmental traffic management as a vital strategy based on the green transport system for achieving and sustaining urban sustainable development in Germany.Traffic management is discussed with a series of instruments that includes public transport,area-ride traffic calming,bicycle use,parking management etc.It explores the role of environmental traffic management for the German city to escape the dependence of car traffic.
