THE MODEL OF SPATIAL SUPPLY & DEMAND AND THE CHOICE OF MEASURES TO OPTIMIZE THE REGIONAL SPATIAL STRUCTURE——ANALYSIS ON THE SCIENTIFIC FOUNDATION OF BUILDING FUNCTIONAL REGIONS
提出空间需求多样性概念，构建空间供需模型，指出空间供需矛盾是空间不平衡的主因，并论证功能区建设是解决矛盾、优化空间结构的重要途径。
Building main functional regions will be one of important regional development strategies in China, and it will have long beneficial influence on spatial structure, which entails urgently scientific theories. On the base of dividing spatial types and defining spatial structure, the paper puts forward a concept of variety of spatial demand, and discusses the rule of dynamic evolution about spatial demand. Besides, the paper builds a model of spatial supply demand, which can draw a conclusion that the most important cause of spatial unequilibrium is the contradictions between spatial supply and demand, and the contradiction is the result of spatial scarcity and the variety of spatial demand. Then, the article thinks that building functional regions is one important ways to resolve the contradictions between spatial supply and demand. At the same time, it can promote to format the reasonable spatial development structure. At the end, it puts forward that main functional regions and specific regions should be built integratedly.
