DISCUSSION OF THE METHOD FOR URBANIZATION LEVEL MEASURE WITH SYNTHETIC INDEX ——TAKING WUXI CITY & TAIZHOU CITY IN JIANGSU PROVINCE AS TWO CASES
以无锡和泰州为例，用人口、经济、社会、居住环境等综合指标测度城市化水平，发现该方法能更科学准确地衡量发展水平，并揭示薄弱环节和限制因素。
By taking Wuxi city and Taizhou city as study cases, this paper uses the synthetic index to measure the urbanization level, of which is composed the factors of population, economy, society, resident environment. Moreover, this paper draws the comparisons. The conclusions drew by these comparisons indicate that the method of synthetic index not only can measure the development level of urbanization more scientifically and exactly, but also can show up the weak points and limiting factors in urbanization thoroughly and finely. So it ascertains the countermeasures and steps that will promote the urbanization development.
