Mega Event and the Transformation of Economic Development Mode:Set Xi'an World Horticultural Expo as an Example
研究了西安世界园艺博览会对当地经济发展方式转变的影响，从需求结构、产业结构和要素投入效率三方面分析，发现博览会有逐年增强的积极推动作用，可为其他城市举办大型活动提供借鉴。
This paper researches on the World Horticultural Exposition's influences on Xi'an economic development mode transformation in three steps including comprehensive analysis, metric analysis and comparison analysis, and from three aspects including demand structure, industrial structure, and the efficiency of factor input. The result proves that the World Horticultural Exposition has greatly promoted the transformation of Xi'an economic development mode; moreover it has increasing positive influences year by year. Study also shows that it has remarkable influence on indexes of Xi'an economic development mode transformation except for the capital to labor ratio. To learn from Xi'an, other cities can hold national and international events, and take the opportunities to promote its own economic development mode transformation. Xi'an can take the World Horticultural Exposition as a good chance to apply for the State Comprehensive Reform and Experimental Area.
