Spatio-Temporal Relationship of FDI and Regional Economic Development of Jiangsu Province
将GDP和FDI引入CES生产函数，分析江苏省区域经济与外资的时空关系，发现外资对经济有独特促进作用，但未改变南高北低的空间格局。
The level of foreign direct investment plays a different role in regional economic growth at different stages, which makes it crucial to measure the influence on regional economic growth of this effect above quantitatively. Based on the analysis of spatial distribution characteristics of Jiangsu regional economy and foreign investment, this paper introduces GDP and FDI into CES Production Function simultaneously, and explores the inner temporal relationship between them. After study above, the main conclusions have been summarized as follows:(1) space structure of regional economy maintains a stable situation ashigh in the south and low in the north, while the pattern of foreign investment demonstrates a situation of gradual spreading from the south to the middle and from the coastal and to the north of Jiangsu, which makes the corresponding degree of the two above patterns tend to collapse;(2) CES production function reveals that foreign investment plays a unique role on promoting economy gradually, and marginal effect is higher than domestic investment making it an important external factor on economic growth;(3) Although it is beneficial to the economic growth in the coast and north of Jiangsu to increase foreign investment on the premise of assumed invariability of domestic investment and effective labor input, it doesn't induce a fluctuation of economic space pattern ashigh in the south and low in the northin Jiangsu at present stage.
