On the sustainable development of industrial mining-based cities
以甘肃白银市为例，通过定性和定量分析，探讨了工业矿业城市在历史、现状和问题基础上的可持续发展对策，包括产业优势转化和城市功能转型。
Resource-based cities, featured as supplier of resource-based products, e.g. mineral products and their preliminary processed products, are of immense importance in the industrialization and urbanization procedure of China. Industrial mining-based cities, abundant in unrenewable resources, are one type of the resource-based cities. This paper, with Baiyin City, a mining resource-based city in Gansu Province, as an example, made a discussion on the sustainable development countermeasures in industrial mining-based cities. Qualitatively and quantitatively analysis, based on the history, current situation and basic characteristics and problems of the city economy, are made in this paper around the following aspects, i.e. boosting the industrial mining-based city superiority transformation, enhancing connections of different cities and prompting their urban function transformation.
