RESEARCH ON URBAN GROWTH BOUNDARY:THE ORETICAL ANALYSIS AND ITS APPLICATION IN CHINA
梳理了城市增长边界（UGB）的理论内涵、特征和驱动机制，分析了中国对UGB的回应，指出中国不能照搬UGB，需在定义、划定方法和弹性管理上创新。
UGB is becoming an increasing concern in research of urban spatial harmony and sustainable development in the USA and other Western nations nowadays.This paper aimed at sorting and analyzing correlative literature about UGB,including its theoretical connotation,characteristics and mechanism for driving.Then the responses of china for UGB were analyzed and the results show that UGB can't be applied by china without innovation.We should give it proper definition, take new methods of delimitation and carry on some necessary innovations in the conformity management and flexible control.
