RESEARCH ON CHARACTERISTICS OF THE JOB/HOUSING DISTRIBUTION AND THE CHANGING COMMUTING ALONG SUBWAY LINES-A CASE STUDY FROM BEIJING
基于北京地铁沿线调查数据，分析轨道交通对职住空间格局和通勤特征的影响，发现地铁网络加速了居民郊区迁移和区域职住失衡，并成为长距离通勤者的主要出行方式。
This article,based on a survey for acquiring data of job/housing distribution and commuting characteristics along the subway lines,makes an analysis on the rail transport's impact on the urban job/housing space pattern and the commuting characteristics.It outlines the situation of living and working places distribution under the subway networks,putting forward a new pattern of regional job and housing unbalance in the context of development of the rail networks.The main conclusions are:(1)The development of subway network extends,to some extent,the choices of people's living space,speeds up the residents' migration to the suburbs,and accelerates the trend of regional job and housing unbalance.(2)As large-capacity,fast passenger transport system,subway network will play a key role in the pattern of urban development space.The suburban area along the subway lines shows a growing trend of highly concentrated population and industry.And finally a radial points and pattern will be formed along the axis of the subway networks.(3)Subway system is highly attractive to the long-distance commuters,and under the conditions of a well-developed urban road networks and motorization,subway networks will become the most important commuting means.
