STUDY ON THE CONSTRUCTION OF TRANSPORT PASSAGEWAY SYSTEM AND THE URBANIZATION MECHANISM IN THE EAST OF NORTHEAST CHINA

There are more than 2000 km long borderlines in the east of northeast China,which is an important zoological wall and frontier area in northeast China,and it is also a typical resource area where economic development severely lagged regional urbanization levels.Based on analyzing regional general characteristics deeply,the authors probed into the current characteristics of regional urbanization and its evolutional contrails: the constituent characteristics of cities and towns,the inner differences of urbanization level,the functional types of main cities,the construction of transport passageways and the development of cities and towns in modern times.As for the developing trends of transport passageway system and its influences on evolutional postures of regional urbanization and spatial development patterns of the cities and towns,the authors considered that the construction of East Border Railway would complete the transport passageway system in the east of northeast China,the development and utilization of two kinds of resources(national and international) would improve the development of urbanization level,the development of continued industries would change the functions of some cities and towns,and the approaching spatial patterns of cities and towns would also be changed in the future.More importantly,the authors strategically inquired into the responses of regional resource and geographical system on the construction of transport passageway system and the development trend of regional urbanization,as well as their restricts on regional urbanization progress: overly development of natural resources should deeply influence regional geographical environment system,the fractures of environmental biologic system caused by the construction of transport passageway system and quickly urbanization would decrease regional biologic diversities,the construction and the operation of the transport passageway system will deeply influence the eco-system of the cities and towns,as well as the regions,and more seriously,the influences on regional resources and geographical environment system would be in an international level considering of the transboundary characteristic of the transport passageway system in the east of northeast China.At last,the authors put forward some suggestions on regional urbanization strategies in the future in the east of northeast China.
