Abstract

The purpose of the paper is to evaluate the degree of intensive land use of development zones in Shanghai in 2007,and analyze its influence factors,which can offer references to decision-making. The Principal Component Analysis,which is the objective method,is employed in this paper to ascertain the weights of indicators. The results indicate:the intensive degree of land use of development zones in Shanghai can be divided into four grade;the intensive degree of land use is much higher in the state-level development zones compared with the city-level development zones in Shanghai;and the important factors that influenced the degree of intensive land use of development zones in Shanghai are per square kilometer fixed assets investment,per square kilometer gross value of industrial output,per square kilometer profit and per square kilometer revenue.
