Features and Mechanism of the Dilemma in Urbanization in the Less-Developed Regions of Western China:Thoughts Based on Empirical Studies in the Southern Mountain Area of Ningxia
基于宁夏南部山区隆德县的实证调查，总结西部欠发达地区城镇化困境的特征，分析其背后的机制，并提出培育人力资本作为可能的破解路径。
The less-developed regions of western China is a typicaldelayed area of development. The process of urbanization there is a redistribution of elements in both urban and rural areas,which is constrained by multiple factors and faced with a particular dilemma. The paper is based on an empirical investigation of Longde County in the southern mountain area of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. In the light ofthe awareness of regional development stage,the paper summarizes the features of the dilemma in urbanization in this region and further analyses the mechanism hiding behind.In addition,the paper puts forward the cultivation of human capital as a possible path to break the dilemma.
