STUDY ON RESOURCES, ENVIRONMENT AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN THE YANGTZE BASIN
概述长江流域资源环境状况，揭示人地矛盾、水土流失、湿地萎缩、水污染等严重问题，并提出控制人口、绿化、调整产业结构等可持续发展对策。
It has become common understanding of people that sustainable development shall be established based on the sustainable utilization of resources and good ecological environment. This article gives a general introduction of resources and environment condition of the Yangtze basin and exposes serious resources and environment problems. The Yangtze basin is facing: the contradiction between human and land becomes sharper and sharper day by day; soil erosion is serious; wetland shrinking becomes more sharpen; natural disaster is frequent; water pollution becomes more serious. Resources and environment countermeasures to promote sustainable development are proposed, including: control population increase, reduce population's pressure to environment; afforest here to construct green barrier; adjust industry structure and distribution, establish national economy system of resources saving; develop resources industry and strengthen the basic position of industry; establish comprehensive harmonious resources and environment management system; increase public's environment consciousness and set up ecological moral view.
