COMMENTS ON THE PAPERS OF ECONOMIC GEOGRAPHY IN RECENT 3 YEARS:A REPORT FROM CURRENT EDITOR-IN-CHIEF TO AUTHERS,REVIEWERS,AND READERS
分析了经济地理学近三年论文，指出该期刊以跨学科为导向，贡献类别多样，已成为经济地理学与其他学科交流的重要平台，并讨论了稿件中存在的问题及改进建议。
By analyzing the papers of Economic Geography in recent 3 years,it is put forward that the journal,oriented to the inter-disciplinary,is characterized by its diverse contribution categories: mainly from economic geography,and partly from related disciplines,such as environment and resources sciences,economics and other social sciences.Economic Geography has already become an important platform for academic exchange between economic geography and other disciplines,as well as a principal journal where young economic geographers publish their academic outcomes.Furthermore,by reviewing editor's comments,it is discussed existing problems on subjects,academic values and research methods,especially on the specific problems including: mixing up planning reports and academic papers,lacking of long-term and solid research work,and mistaking index system or misunderstanding discipline progress review in the manuscripts.Finally,in order to improve the Journal,several suggestions are proposed: enlarging the contribution to development of economic geography science,emphasizing the application of scientific methods,and enhancing international exchange.
