RESEARCH ON SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF THE COUNTY-LEVEL BOUNDARY REGIONS IN NORTHWEST HUNAN PROVINCE
研究了湘西北县域边界地区社会经济滞后的原因，提出调整经济结构、发展农业工业旅游业、加强基础设施和生态建设、促进区域合作以实现可持续发展。
The county-level boundary regions are a special geographical unit. There are many types of county-level boundary regions that contain rich resources. Due to various reasons, the social economy of the regions lags behind that of the administrative (economic) center of counties. The author thinks that boundary regions are of great importance to the development of regional economy. Thus we should readjust the economical structure; promote the deep and comprehensive development of agriculture, industry, and tourism, accelerate the process eliminating ignorance, and shaking off poverty, reinforce infrastructure facilities, town and city construction, and ecological environment construction, strengthen regional cooperation, improve the trade of the boundary regions so as to fulfill the sustainable development of the society economic of the boundary regions.
