Abstract

Based on geography,households' perspective to village public space is a new attempt.This paper will study the perspective of 75 individual households and their willingness to contribute to funding the maintenance and improvement of village public space.It is generally recognized that village public space has suffered from Community Government neglect. A range of factors affect the willingness of each household to pay for the maintenance and improvement of village public space.These include: age,education,occupation,income and individual's perception.(1)The age of the respondents was a key factor.It was found that the readiness to pay decreased as age increased.(2)In terms of education,the higher the educational attainment of a household,the less motivation there is to pay.(3)Occupation plays a significant positive role.The households with better jobs are more likely to pay for village public space.(4)The source of income has a minimal effect,but nonetheless can be considered.(5)The households are more likely to pay where their village public spaces are in a poorer condition.The government should take village public space seriously for the contribution for the place makes in the lives of residents.
