Abstract

Using method of cluster analysis,the paper first uses the clustering analysis method to divide stages of rural road development in China from 1980 to 2010,sums up the characteristics of each stage;secondly,the paper selecting 1980,1990,2000,2010 as time nodes,analyses the rural road network density and difference of Chinese province(municipality and autonomous region);finally,using the method of regression analysis and principal component analysis,discusses the impact factors of rural road development in China.The conclusions are drawn as follows.Rural road development in China could be divided into slow development stage,rapid development stage,attach equal importance to quality and quantity development stage;rural road network density in China generally presents a terrace pattern of high in East and low in West,and more than 59% of the land area of the rural road network density belows the national average in the long term;the development of rural road of each province(municipality and autonomous region) could be divided into 5 categories as lead,middle reaches the partial,middle,lower middle,lag in 2010;Passenger and freight transport development,production and investment in rural area,the rise of farmer’s income level and so on influence the development of rural road greatly,and the national policy supporting to promote the rural area also plays an important role.
