Abstract

Increasing quality assessment of industrial water utilization should be coupled with the factors such as resource constraint,economic growth,technological progress,structural change and so on.Based on the panel dataset of waterutilization and social economy from 1997 to 2007 in China,the industrial waterutilization change of 31 regions was analyzed by using Complete Decomposition(CD) model,and the marginal effects of three major determinants(economic growth,technological changes in restructuring) were calculated based on the marginal thought of economy,then the spatial and temporal difference characteristics of the marginal effects was discussed.In orderto assess the increasing quality of industrial waterutilization,the increasing quality index of all the 31 regions were cclculated from 1997 to 2007.Finally,the Exploratory Spatial Data Analysis(ESDA) method was applied to analyze the spatial association pattern of industrial water utilization increasing quality index.The results show that the increasing quality of industrial water utilization in China has appeared a trend of improvements in all parts and periods,and it also has a coincidence with the regional economic development.There are two significance about increasing quality of industrial water utilization,one is spatial autocorrelation,the other is regional spatial differences,so the increasing quality of industrial water utilization has a big potential to improve.
