Research on Planning and Construction Characteristics of Lanzhou Metropolitan Area
分析了兰州建设都市圈的必要性，基于当前经济社会发展水平提出培育型都市圈的总体构想，并探讨了建设发展中的主要问题。
Lanzhou lies on the upper reach of Yellow River,integrating with the Silk Road culture,the yellow river culture and the multi-national culture.It is an important transport and communication center in Northwest China.Planning and constructing Lanzhou metropolitan area are necessary to adapt to economic globalization and regional economic integration,to fulfill national strategy of the western development and economic and social development goals of Gansu Province.This paper analyzes the need of constructing metropolitan area,puts forward the overall view of planning and construction of metropolitan area-nurturing type metropolitan area on the basis of evaluating present economic and social development level.Finally,it discusses the major issues in the process of constructing and developing metropolitan area.
