Abstract

Residential location choice has a significant impact on differentiation of urban space. In order to optimize the layout of urban space, we need to study the factors affecting residents living location choice. This paper builds location selection sets based on amenity characteristics from four dimensions, such as transport resources, business services resources, residential quality and the natural environment. Also, the factors affecting residents living location choice are discussed from two dimensions, such as the basic needs of living and living the ability to achieve. Then structural equation modeling of residential location choice are established after making hypothesis. In the end, combining Harbin City data, the feasibility and rationality of the model are further verified, and the main drivers of different residential location choice are identified. And corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are proposed from the perspective of urban planning and residential development.
