Thoughts on the Cultural Locating of City Image and Design for the Urmuqi City,the Capital of Xinjiang
本文探讨城市设计需关注城市形象的文化定位，以乌鲁木齐为例，强调城市文化作为精神核心对和谐城市与环境友好型社会建设的重要性，并指出其文化定位应基于丝绸之路历史、民族文化与现代文化的融合。
The city design must pay attentions to the cultural locating of city image.City culture,as the core the city spirits,is the key factor to concentration and image of the city,which is related to the construction of harmonious society and the construction of the city image of Urmuqi City,even the construction of the environment-friendly society.The construction of the city image of Urmuqi should follow not only the distinction of nationalities but also complexness of historical chain.The cultural position of Urmuqi city should be located on the history of the living Silk Roads and show the nationalities culture and modern culture,which would be helpful for the harmonious co-existing of the multiple nationalities culture.
