SPECULATIONS ON WAVES OF REDUNDANT RURAL LABORERS POURING INTO THE CITIES IN THE PROCESS OF CHINESE URBANIZATION

This article gives a detailed analysis of the causes as well as the characteristics of the phenomenon of waves of redundant rural laborers pouring into the cities, pointing out that the root cause of the waves is the collision between the historical inevitability of urbanization and the dual social economic structures of the city and the countryside. This artical also illustrates both the positive and negative effect, especially the positive effect, of the waves on urban and rural social economic development respectively and leads to possible steps for the relief and the solution of the waves.
