Coordinated Development Between Land Use Change and Population Change in Urbanizing China
修正了土地利用非农指数并构建了土地人口城市化协调指数,分析2000和2009年中国各省人口与土地变化的关系,发现两者正相关但系数低于1996年,并探讨了区域差异及可持续城市化建议。
This research revised the‘land use non-farm index’(LUNI) and developed the‘land-population urbanization harmony index’(LPUH).These two indexes were used to measure the relationship between population change(people from rural areas to urban areas) and land change(land from to be used for agriculture to used for construction). The population and land use data for each province in China in 2000 and 2009were used to calculate the population urbanization index(PUI) and LUNI.Next, using SPSS,this research analyzed the correlation between LUUS and PUI.In addition, based on PUI,LUNI and LPUH,this research adopted the fast clustering analysis method in SPSS.The results show that the correlation coefficients between LUNI and PUI in 2000 and 2009 are 0.758 and 0.686 respectively, demonstrating a significant positive correlation between the two indexes. However, both the coefficients are lower than the coefficient in 1996.Five clusters demonstrate significant spatial differences across China. The research discussed the factors for these differences and proposed suggestions for sustainable urbanization in China in the future.
