Abstract

Hunan province is the foundation of the national red tourism, which is the most famous and influential red tourism destination. And at the same time the red tourism is one of distinguish parts in Hunan tourism. The article arranges the current situation of red tourism development in Hunan province systematically and rationally in five aspects: red tourism resource trait, red tourism industry development situation, the space layout of red tourism development, construction of red tourism band and the regional cooperating frame of red tourism. It also objectively points out that there still exist some problems in the red tourism development in Hunan province, which are low developing level of tourism industry, simplex red tourism product, dull red tourism explanations, unbalanced tourism development, unsuitable tourism management system and so on. Based on above analyses, some conceptions for red tourism optimization strategy in Hunan province are put forward, which are the model of government playing a leading role, market guidance, demonstration projects, using the experience of one point to lead the whole area and orderly development, four principles, six stresses and five measures.
