Have the U.S.Political Pressures Succeeded in Boosting the Appreciation of RMB
用事件研究法分析美国政治压力对人民币汇率的影响，发现逆转和平滑事件比放大事件更显著，立法机构压力比行政机构更有效，且压力事件本身对市场预期有一定预测价值。
This paper explores the impact of political pressures from the United States on the movements of RMB with event study approach.Although the overall result is not significant,it is found that the reversal and smoothing events lead to more significant results than the amplified events.Besides,the pressures from the U.S. legislative bodies also bring about more significant results than the U.S.executive authority.Finally,the authors point out thoserpressure events per se may show some positive forecast value to guide market expectations.
